Candle Care
Our shaped candles are made to be a decorative piece for your home. In the case where you may want to light them, please follow the recommendations below. Please remember there may be slight differences in the way each unique candle burns.
Before lighting your candle, remove candle tag and ribbon.
Trim the wick leaving 2-3cm from the surface of the wax.
Due to the irregular shapes of our decorative candles, place candle on a flat, heat-proof dish that will collect any wax that may drip
For jar candles, ensure wax melts completely to the edges of the container to prevent 'tunneling' during future burns.
Avoid burning your candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time.
Light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts or fans, which can cause sooting, uneven burning.
Never leave candle unattended. Always keep away from children and pets.
Never burn candle close to anything that can catch fire, such as curtains, clothes, books and paper, flammable decoration, etc.
Never touch a candle until fully cooled. Hot wax can be extremely hot, even when the candle is no longer lit.
Keep away from direct sunlight to avoid melting & colour variations.
As no preservatives are used in our candles, frosting may occur. Frosting is a perfectly natural effect of using soy wax and is unique to vegetable waxes. It is caused by the natural wax molecules re-crystallizing and forming visible crystals on the surface of the candle. All soy waxes frost and is a sign of 100% natural soy wax.
